"Best Kids"

C is for cat and we had a look at cats, big cats that is, lions. We read about Daniel in the lions den and we learned how to overcome fear by trusting God.
Then last week we looked at D for dog and we learned an important lesson from Proverbs 26:17; Don’t get involved in someone else’s fight or you may be sorry. And don’t get others involved in your fights.

ants, bees, believe, God, proverbs, sunflowers Leave a comment
A couple of weeks ago at Hizkidz we started a new kid’s programme called “ABC, I Believe”, and for the next 26 weeks (Wow! That seems like a long time) we will be going through the alphabet looking at some of God’s amazing creatures and see what we can learn from them.
We started with A for Ant, we made our own Andy Ants and looked in the Book of Proverbs (6:6-8) where it tells us we can learn from the ants and become wise. The ants do their work even when they don’t have someone telling them what to do or checking up on them. We should be the same.
Last week we were looking at bees, we learned that bees have a very special purpose, to pollenate plants and trees, and every bee in the hive has a special job to do. We also made bee planters and planted sunflower seeds.God loves you and knows you.
God created bees for a special purpose and we are much more important than bees He created us for a purpose too . We are special and have a special job to do for God.

On Friday we were looking in bags, boxes, cases, and envelopes but they were empty. Nothing very good about looking and not finding anything but one of the most AWESOME events in history was when the disciples found something empty – the tomb where they had put Jesus.
The tomb was empty, Jesus wasn’t there. Jesus died but he came alive again, not as a spooky ghost, but as someone who makes breakfast for his friends and calls them by name.

We’re still in John’s Gospel and on Friday we had an AWESOME time learning about Jesus. We learned a bit of braille and the we found out how Jesus healed a blind man with a mud pie. Jesus wants to open our eyes too, He wants to show us us who God is.
Jesus Helps Us Understand God, that’s awesome.

We’re still in John’s Gospel and last night we read John 6:1-21, where Jesus, seeing that the people were hungry divided 5 loaves and 2 fish and fed 5,000 people and as if that wasn’t awesome enough he even took a stroll across a lake. Jesus knows about the ordinary things we need and He cares for us in practical ways
Jesus cares for us in ways that matter, that’s awesome.

We are continuing to read John’s Gospel and last night we read about “the man at the pool” in John 5:1-18. Jesus knows where we are, he knows exactly what we need and what’s best for us’

We were looking at John’s Gospel again last night where Jesus’ performed his second miracle by healing the nobleman’s son. (John 2:1-11). We learned that Jesus has the power to heal just by saying the word..

Hizkidz was awesome on Friday. Learning about an awesome God and His awesome Son, from His awesome Word. We read the story of Jesus turning the water into wine, from John 2:1-11. We learned that Jesus’ power is available for us in everyday situations.
Jesus has God’s power, that’s awesome.
